About the Company:
Unidex Healthcare are a privately owned recruitment company established in 2001 and operate across Australia, with our main offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. Unidex actively recruit for all areas in the healthcare field specialising in Disability Services, Support Services and Allied Health.
The Role:
Our participant is a 55-year-old female who has an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). Due to the impact of this injury, our participant requires support in various aspects of her daily living, this involves assistance with personal care, domestic tasks, transportation, manual handling, meal preparation, attending healthcare professionals and social engagements.
The current care plan in place requires 2 x assist for 24/7 care commencing from the 21st of August 2023. The shift times are as follows:
- Morning shifts will be from 8:00am - 6:00pm
- Afternoon shifts will be from 12:30pm - 10:00pm Inactive Night shifts will be (10:00pm - 6:00am)
Successful candidates must have experience with manual handling hoisting and be able to assist with transportation, personal care, domestic tasks and social support.
Successful candidates will be provided training through "buddy shifts" with other staff on the team.
Pay Rates:
- Day - $38.75 per hour
- Afternoon - $42.63 per hour
- Inactive Overnight - $43.40
- Saturday - $54.25 per hour
- Sunday - $69.75 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assistance with personal care, such as personal hygiene, bathing & grooming.
- Transportation.
- Manual Handling.
- Hoisting (full hoist/sling hoist)
- Assistance with domestic tasks including cleaning & meal preparation.
Skills & Experiences:
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transport.
- Blue Card or Working with Childrens Check.
- Yellow Card or NDIS Workers Screening Check.
- Current First Aid - completed within the last 36 months.
- Current CPR - completed within the last 12 months.
- National Police Clearance - completed in the last 12 months.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Prior experience working with people who have complex care needs.
- Positive attitude and flexibility in shift times.
