KITCHEN STEWARD SUPERVISOR (Full time)
Reporting to the Chief Steward, this role helps to service the catering needs of guests through supporting the kitchen brigade in operating a clean and efficient kitchen department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Chefs and Kitchen Assistant Team Leaders with the basic preparation and production of food products.
- Receiving of goods into the kitchen.
- Washing and sanitising of all kitchen equipment, bulk washing of all cutlery, crockery and glassware.
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and pot/dishwashing area.
- Ensure kitchen, scullery, garbage room, storage areas and serveries are clean and orderly.
- Supervision of casual stewarding staff
- Assist with rostering of casual Stewards.
- Implement procedures of the Food Safety Program (FSP).
- Assist with setting up Monika requirements (daily tasks)
- Assisting with equipment requisitions
Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of different cleaning chemicals.
- Working knowledge of commercial dishwashers.
- Knowledge of WH&S, fire and safety practices.
A satisfactory National Police Records Check is required for this role.
