KITCHEN STEWARD SUPERVISOR (Full time)


Reporting to the Chief Steward, this role helps to service the catering needs of guests through supporting the kitchen brigade in operating a clean and efficient kitchen department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Chefs and Kitchen Assistant Team Leaders with the basic preparation and production of food products.
  • Receiving of goods into the kitchen.
  • Washing and sanitising of all kitchen equipment, bulk washing of all cutlery, crockery and glassware.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and pot/dishwashing area.
  • Ensure kitchen, scullery, garbage room, storage areas and serveries are clean and orderly.
  • Supervision of casual stewarding staff
  • Assist with rostering of casual Stewards.
  • Implement procedures of the Food Safety Program (FSP).
  • Assist with setting up Monika requirements (daily tasks)
  • Assisting with equipment requisitions

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of different cleaning chemicals.
  • Working knowledge of commercial dishwashers.
  • Knowledge of WH&S, fire and safety practices.

A satisfactory National Police Records Check is required for this role.

Working in the venue and event industry means supporting the delivery of events across our event calendar. This means that weekend, evening and public holiday work will be required.
